Hoop Time!

Travis played his first ever season of basketball this winter.  He really enjoyed it and surprisingly, so did I.  Prior to Travis playing, I had no interest in or knowledge of basketball and didn’t think I would like it that much, but it was fun to watch!  It was fast paced and exciting!  Travis enjoyed the practices and the games and scored a few points for the team along the way.   Go Natomas Heat!

My Birthday…37!

A beautiful day in the neighborhood!

It is days like this that make me so thankful for the neighborhood we live in.  It is not an unusual sight to see all the neighborhood kids and of course a few grown up kids participating in some sort of organized street game.  On this night, it was a friendly game of football!  The boys played for hours and as the sun started to go down we were given the most beautiful sunset!

We made it….2 hours later!

Ryan and I decided to take Wiggles to the dog park.  With Ryan in tow, I am more inclined to either drive down to the park or to put Ryan in the jogger and walk him and Wiggles down, but Ryan did not have the same plan!  He wanted to ride his bike!  It is a little over a mile down and back, which is a long way for his little legs to go on his miniature bike.  We packed a bag with snacks and lunch and hit the trail.

Ryan did great!  He didn’t complain once about being tired or that he couldn’t do it anymore.  I fully expected to have to carry his bike home!  We did not break any speed records however.  It took us over 2 hours to go there and back with a few snack breaks in between!  It was a fun morning hanging out with my little guy!

Buds!

This picture of Travis and his best friends, Aaron and Andrew, just makes me smile.  They are just so cute!
